Job Description

Proven working experience as a DBA
In-depth understanding of RDBMS concepts and constructs
Hands-on experience on MySQL or Postgres RDBMS
Hands-on experience with database standards
Excellent knowledge of data backup, recovery (BC/DR) and security
Design, create, and implement database systems that are stable, reliable, and effective based on the end user’s requirements.
Create scripts to build new or modified database objects.
Ability to write and optimize stored procedures by running query analyzer tools for better performance and performance related issues
Develop best practices for database design and development activities.
Ability to develop data models and ERDs.
Ability to support long term goals along with immediate performance concerns.
Discuss with the client every day, work very closely with every team-member, and implement appropriate database requirements.
Proactive, great attention to detail, results-oriented problem solver.
Determine, enforce and document database policies, procedures and standards

Qualifications / Desired Profile

Proven and must have at least 5-7 years of experience working as Database administrator.
Must have extensive hands-on coding experience in SQL Scripts, Stored Procedures, functions, triggers, views etc.
Ability to work with a team in an Agile environment.
Excellent Communication skills – written and verbal.
Be a team player.

Education:

BS degree in Computer Science discipline or relevant certification/s.

Knowledge In (Good to have but not mandatory):

AWS concepts (RDS)
Datawarehouse concepts (AWS Redshift, Crawlers, Glue)
